problem

Creative, impact-driven organizations run on passion, but finance often feels like an obstacle because of tight budgets, growth goals, and limited financial expertise. Flare faced a double challenge. It needed to stand out as approachable rather than intimidating. And its creative audience was unlikely to engage with a brand that felt cold or looked corporate. Many potential clients were avoiding financial support altogether, simply because the experience felt inaccessible, which left a gap between the help they needed and the help they were willing to seek.

solution

As a Digital Designer, I helped Flare make finance feel more human through the creative execution of weekly digital, print, and video assets for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok. I built cohesive visual systems, typography, and tone of voice that turned complex financial topics into clear, engaging, and approachable content. I also contributed to the evolution of Flare's brand identity across touchpoints, so the company looked as credible as it is warm.

Flare is an accounting and fractional CFO firm that makes finance more human and accessible for creatives, nonprofits, and social enterprises. As Digital Designer, I create social media assets, edit video, build client presentations, and support marketing, all with a consistent, concept-driven visual identity. In five months, targeted content grew social media engagement by 54%, while a stronger brand presence helped drive 20% client-portfolio growth and improved brand recognition.

Flare Sessions: The Real Talk

Podcast series designed to spotlight the unfiltered realities of creative careers. Hosted by Flare, the project aims to create a safe, honest space for artists, founders, and creatives to discuss the highs, lows, failures, and breakthroughs that shape their professional journeys. Conversations that are often missing from polished success narratives.

Objective
Design a podcast identity and content framework (for social media) that:

  • Feels authentic, approachable, and human

  • Builds trust with creative entrepreneurs

  • Positions Flare as a knowledgeable yet empathetic guide for creatives

Creative Direction

The visual and narrative approach prioritises rawness over polish. The design language supports candid storytelling through bold typography, minimal layouts, and expressive visual elements that reflect vulnerability, contrast, and real-life complexity.
